so I checked out the chiddy bang mixtape a couple of weeks ago and its not the best thing i’ve ever heard, but it’s a solid effort and these philly kids definitely have potential. just like 10 deep put out cudi’s mixtape over a year ago, crooks and castles is helping put this mixtape out. truth, the colabo with passion pit above, is my favorite track outside the mgmt kids remix. the mixtape can be downloaded by clicking the link at the bottom. its called the swelly express, no relation to the swell season.

jason segal (whoo!) joined the swell season on stage last night to perform an original song. totally not fair that california gets this when new york is all about jason segel.
this is the story: “Here’s how this happened… The band was at a restaurant in Los Angeles; drinking tea, when they were offered a bottle of wine by two celebrities. Paul Rudd and Jason Segel. Now The Swell Season has been enjoying watching their “Freaks & Geeks” DVDs while on tour, so this was a nice coincidence. They became good acquaintances, so The Swell Season asked Jason Segel to be a surprise guest and sing a song for us. Wasn’t this too cool?”

heroes tosses in a chrono trigger reference. doesn’t get me interested in the show again, but hiro is still the best character on the show, and this only proves it. good writing, writers of heroes.
today was the debut of the badass as hell trailer for prince of persia. i was really skeptical about this movie, thinking it would be as lame as it would be boring. but it definitely does not look boring, and has the potential to not be lame (no thanks to stupid gemma arterton… who does, however, look pretttttyyyy pretttyyyyy pretty good). may 2010. yippeeeeeee
this was the night before halloween, we went to munchies and it was effing nuts. mad crazy people coming in and causing havoc outside. mahwash and kinza were not safe from the weird ones.
